Oxyfertilisation^® is a fertilisation concept that is based on providing a carefully worked out supply of six major elements, namely, calcium (Ca), magnesium (Mg), nitrogen (N), phosphorus (P), potassium (K), and sulphur (S), in a 100% available form.

Cereals also need calcium and magnesium, which are indispensable for good plant growth. These calcium and magnesium requirements are even greater if the straw is exported.

The right amount of nitrogen in the cereal's food supply will determine its protein quality. The RAMSES index measures the nitrogen in the cereal's diet. Below an index of 20 the plant's requirements are not met.

Foliar fertilisation
Despite the presence of nutrients in the soil, root uptake is not always sufficient to ensure good plant growth. A plant can experience occasional food supply flaws.
